David Ellis is the author of the book, A Computer Law Primer, and has published numerous articles in legal, business, and technological journals, including the Florida Bar Journal and The Data Bus, Florida's computer and technology journal, for which he wrote a monthly column on computer law for many years.

He also taught Intellectual Property, Copyrights, and Computer Law for several years as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law and Stetson University College of Law.
